Painting Restoration
Cleaning, repairing, remounting and restoring two dimensional work including paintings, works on paper, and frames. We use conservation grade materials and our treatments are informed by the American Institute of Conservation’s code of ethics.
-
Mount Making
The wizard behind the curtain. Mounts support objects so they can be displayed safely and aesthetically. We use cast interfaces with traditional mount making techniques to create mounts that fit like a glove.
-
Object Conservation
Beyond aesthetic concerns, objects often have a multitude of structural needs that need to be addressed. The range of objects conservation can be from stabilizing a crack in stone, to repairing a detailed wood inlay.
-
Art Fabrication
Working directly with artists to make proof of concept and finished works in a variety of mediums. Just because your studio is too small or you don’t have the right tools, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t make it.
-
Exhibition Furniture
Vitrines, pedestals, frames, mounts, stands and anything else that supports artwork on display.
-
Crating
Fragile, oddly shaped, and valuable objects can be challenging to ship. We can fabricate everything from simple transport cases to elaborate crates built for touring and storage.
